HannahB_CatchTagRelease

this game is still in progress and pretty much is one of the blankest, most boring games i have ever had the pleasure of creating.
it is full of excitement as you ZAP the fish out of the water. or at least it will be full of excitement when its done... hopefully.
if you are prepared to catch fish, tag fish, and finally release them back in to the water; play now. except maybe don't play right now because
right now it sucks.

  1. I like the concept however it becomes really difficult to play as it currently is. the "hand" is hard to control because it keeps moving and it can fly off the screen, some ideas, 1 use jump to rather than start moving in a direction, that way it stops moving when you release the key. 2 dont allow the hand to move outside the screen edges (see frogpond) 3. Use the mouse to control the hand rather than the arrow keys. See Mason about this, or ask to see his game to see how he implements the mouse. 4 just have the hand move toward the mouse as you click it. ( use mouse_x and mouse_y as your goto points, or use a global mouse click as your trigger.
Next the message box that appears every time the timer runs out gets annoying. Even when there are no fish left. Is this suppose to go to another level? is the next level tagging?

  3. I learned that fish that are captured need to be tagged and scales scraped off. This game is a lot better than your last game.
You didn't have a tutorial level, so you might want to work on that. I would improve the fist level by putting some fish in them.

    2) I think your game really improved so good job!
    3) To improve it you could make the fish appear in the first level. Keep up the good work my friend!

  7. The actual game taught be nothing, but the information screen did teach me that fish needed to be helped. Other than that I am not sure what was supposed to be conveyed. I am unsure of the difficulty because after the splash screen i was unable to do anything. All that appeared was a background. My one improvement would definitely be make the game playable.

  11. On a scale of one to ten on how fun the game is i would give it a TEN!! the reason for this is honestly i could play this game for a long time without getting bored! and the music makes it even better!

On a scale from 1-10 on the educational part i would give it a 2 because honestly i didn't learn anything from it :(

On a scale of 1-10 of how well devoloped it is i would give it about an 8.5. I really like the music ! i could play the game FOREVER!!

One suggestion i could give you is put directions on the beginning to say what you have to do because at first its really confusing and then you get the hang of it

  12. 1) u thought it was fun but its SUPER hard to get started so i give you 8 out of 10.

2)Im sorry Hannah but I didnt learn anything so im going to give you a 5 out of 10.
    3) The game was good it had sprites, action sounds, and music in the background.
    4) I think to improve your game you should give more education and facts in your game also make it easier to start.

  13. Well the game works and doesnt lag too much. The hand is controlled by the cursor, not the arrow keys like the game instructions say. There is very little info on why youre eaten by a bear or why a lamprey is chasing you. Fun game though. Couldnt find how education fit in there though.
    Education 0/10
    Development 6/10
    Fun 5/10
